FAQ's

What about all the statutory obligations such as Care Quality Commission (CQC)?

As a home care provider 360HC are regulated by the CQC and therefore we are required to follow the regulations and standards set by them. Our most recent CQC inspection report can be seen on their website at www.cqc.org.uk.

We are also registered with the UKHCA (UK Home Care Association) which is the national professional association and representative organisation for home care organisations.

How do you recruit your Homecare Assistants?

360HC recruit through recommendation, we also advertise through local marketing. All of our staff go through a rigorous process that includes telephone screening, a face to face interview, reference checking, completion of an enhanced DBS check and completion of our induction program. Staff then start a probationary period of three months, where they shadow other staff before starting out on their own.

Can I have a very early or very late call?

360HC cover mornings from as early as 6.30am and run right through until or last visit at 10pm.

We can also arrange for waking nights (please contact the manager for further details).

What jobs can your staff undertake in my home?

Our staff are here to help you in many ways, but the core of our work include assisting you to get up and go to bed each day, personal care, continence care, assisting with mobility and using equipment identified for use by our therapy colleague’s e.g. manual hoists, ceiling hoists, standing hoists, etc. We can remind you or administer your medication for you, we can prepare meals and assist with feeding if required, our staff can also assist with light household duties, escorting you to appointments and social calls.

How much will it cost?

The cost of care will be dependent on the number of visits and duration of those visits which you require. Our registered manager can visit you for a free assessment to establish your care needs and issue you with a cost plan to suit your requirements.

If you need assistance with paying for your care you can apply to Wakefield Council for a care and/or financial assessment. You do this by first contacting the Adult Social Care Team directly on 03458 503 503.

How many carers will I have visiting me?

We try to keep the number of carers that visit you to a minimum and the larger the care package the greater the number of carers, on average you will have three / four regular carers. Our team building principles ensure that you will see the same faces each week.
